Football Injury Prevention Program.

Roselea FC have partnered up again with The Movement Clinic Sydney to provide a six-week injury-prevention program for all teams at Roselea FC for 2021! Last season, we had some awesome results with the O35 and an U16 girl’s squads, where we saw positive results in terms of injury prevention, recovery and fitness all throughout the season. The Movement Clinic Sydney want to be able to provide this same improvement in performance for the rest of the club!

This program has been created by TMCS Senior Physiotherapist Jordon Sarkodee and Associate Professor Steve Cobley from the University of Sydney, who will also run the program. They have developed and will provide a weekly program designed to help improve your lower-limb flexibility, agility, and strength. Our main objective, however, is to lower the risk of non-contact injuries.

About the program.

  • A thorough baseline assessment to determine any anatomical or functional issues.
  • A 6-week exercise program, with one Group Session per week, run by Jordon and Steve.
  • 2 at-home sessions to complete twice per week for maintenance and improvement.
  • A re-assessment at the end of the program, right before the kick-off of the season so we can measure your improvements.
  • We will provide you with the necessary equipment for the required exercises.
  • Access to The Movement Clinic’s home exercise instructional videos.
  • A 10% discount will be available for all Roselea FC players and their families and we accept insurance cases.
